USCIS today approved a case from 17th of August, 2020

Thank God they’re alive. so I guess to get to December They would take like another five months

im not sure why but Potomac has the longest processing time of 24 months. all other centers have way lesser than Potomac.

I heard a lawyer say that service centers take the shape of the local political ideology on that state. Potomac is in Maryland. sometimes I am tempted to believe that 😂

yeah I I will wait and file n400 when I am eligible to make my I751 go faster. I saw on VJ most people had to file n400 in order to get their i751 adjudicated.

I got approve I posted on the visa journey but forgot to posted on here , I was approved on the 18/12/2022 , I request to get the stamp on my passport a month after my extension letter expired and one month later was call to get my passport stamp and two weeks later was approved … my case been in Potomac YCS since the very first day never got transferred and also my case was filed jointly and a year later things got rocky in my past relationship my now ex decided to divorce and I let her go , she was manipulating me and since I know my rights I told her I respect you and do what you thinks is better for you because my mental health physiologically was stress .. I kept living my normal life and once I got the divorce decree I sent to Potomac and written them a letter to conver my case and if they need me I will show up to an interview r if they needed more evidence will be more than glad to send them I had a lot and also was prepared for anything ….

I’ll be eligible on may I will apply under 5 year , and yes I believe so that they woke up my case since it was a month late it’s helps also since I sent my divorce decree and a letter I think it’s helped …. I did not have an interview I just have had an interview when I adjusted my status other than that … that was the only interview .. -I APPLY LATE SEPTEMBER 27 of 2020 and 1 months after I applied received my extension later . -June 06 2020 we had divorced and 4 weeks later received my divorce decree and I waited until July of 2022 and send it to them, the only reason I waited that long to send it was because I was making sure I send it t the right office and address and confirm with them , I did not hired any lawyer . -July of 2021 received an appointment letter total months 9 of waiting then December 18th was approved exactly two weeks after I got my stamped on my passport

lucky you you got approved without an interview that too with a waiver case. good job congrats man. I applied in late December 2020 with the divorce decree as well Potomac has been sitting on my case nothing except fingerprints done in April 2021. I’m guessing since you got approved recently they are working on late September early October 2020 cases. I hope I will hear something in March 2023 .

yes my as well was jointly then converted to waiver , and when I went to get my stamp the only thing I said was why my case was taking to long and that I’ve been contacting them and nobody had an specific answer , she start typing something… other than that I was especting my case to be approved on may of 2023 I did not even care since I was going to apply for the N400 on may it did not matter to me but thanks God I’m always ready at this point I developed how to be patient and be calm that’s what helped me …

Great another example of stupidity of USCIS. I was supposed to get a call back today and they entered my phone number wrong so I missed the phone call and I got an email from USCIS that I missed a call from them. I called back and requested another call back , so I’m gonna have to wait another three days for their fault. USCIS is a is a wreck and agents are of no use.

Wow that’s just gross incompetence

So I called multiple times and finally got someone who knows what they’re doing so the person told me that someone physically opened my case in September 2022 and they made digital copies of my documents that I submitted. It looks like they’re working on my case, and I should get something in the next couple of months.

another stupidity of uscis the agent v who called me sounded Asian to me but I didn’t care and he told me I can come any day this week so I said ok let’s do tomorrow which is 24 th. he scheduled me for 25 January I think he used his own time zone instead of US EST . smh he told me tomorrow verbally but sent me a notice for January 25 th it’s not a big deal but still .

when I called back of course they cannot change it . it’s 2 hours away so I’m just gonna go January 25 to be safe I’m not gonna waste time and gas tomorrow in case they don’t let me in

Raleigh is expensive and also is Charlotte. If you will be working remotely, then I will advise living in the suburbs close to Raleigh so you don’t spend a lot on housing
