I remember u came as a tourist… did you disclose this unauthorized work on i730 and also on i485… and did you pay tax on that work… and if you didn’t disclose it before and uscis finds out then you can be charged with misrepresentation and lose your approved i730… and if we talk about i485 and you properly disclosed it before then it’s upto officer discretion it’s 50/50.. I came on i730 and worked as a 1099 I got scared too.. then i found out since I entered on i730 am authorized to do any type of work… but ur situation is different because u came on b1b2 very negative factor… overstay + unauthorized work… am so sorry for u… god bless u hope u get your green card… still there is a lot of facts matter… did u n ur husband applied together?

@Ak . no we applied in 2023 and got his green card in may 2026 but I have read that unauthorized work should not bar me from gettin a green card but who knows !!! I have my interview in August 11 2026

@Ak . yes of course I been living here since 2004 I can’t lie about that but I have made a research and said asylee adjust under ina 209(b) and asylees are exempt from unauthorized work or visa overstay the only problem is that I believe my attorney don’t know about asylum adjustment of status
