no, i had no status when everything was denied. my EAD was closed I couldn’t work or drive. I had to wait for 6months the only way uscis would let me & my family stay is if we proved they had no right to deny us

so we fill an appeal & send documents

@ Chloe when you appeal what they first letter you receive stated ??

@Kimmy my first letter was a denial letter. a wrong denial saying that I sent my appeal too late. but my lawyer contacted them & everything is fine now. my I-485 was approved & I’ll be receiving my green card soon.

@K D yes, my appeal changed to case was reopened my I-485 to card was being produced

I got my 10 years green card today

@Nanisyy I-290B sent December 31st and received i485 reopened notice in february & case was reopened on tracker yesterday i’m confuse too actually case open in february or yesterday

My I-290b is from FL my lawyer constantly go to uscis & checked on my case that’s how it worked he didn’t just sit there & do nothing

my lawyer whenever I call her to find out about my case she don’t pick up her phone or text me back

@chole did you go for interview for second time after reopened ?

@Kimmy: you have to be able to follow up and do things alone or you find yourself a new one. Ours was the exact same. 6 months through motion to reopen sent last year, he kept telling us to wait when nothong was working even though the primary applicant had the case I-485 adjudicated in court. We had to start tracking dependent case on our own and did all the work such as draft our own new motion and sent it to the local office, request our A-file, put in 6 service requests plus 1 tier 2 call, 2 congressional inquiries one for EAD and one for AOS, plus 2 expedite requests, and many many chats with Emma. We even interfiled our medicals alone 1 week before our case got reopened on May 2nd and approved on May 3rd. We did all of this from November 21 till this day. And guess what? He was the first to send email that our case is approved. We just ignored the message because he didn’t do nothing.

I know and they thing is it she keep saying I have to wait whenever I ask her if any update on my case some lawyer only know to charge you money and sit doing nothing waste of times I feel fasturating at times

@ KD I didn’t go to a second interview I didn’t have to since my mom was approved I’m still under 21 so I automatically benefit her approval status. but there was a possibility of me going to an interview

@Kimmy when they denied my I-485 they told me I had 30days to leave the country. since I didn’t invite myself & did nothing wrong I got a lawyer & worked my case.

My lawyers are great they kept going to uscis field office to fix my problem cause they didn’t want to lose a case base on USCIS stupidity.

my lawyer did and file appeal august 2021 I receive a letter they they received my appeal and incase they need biometric they will mail me no update until march 2022 they send next letter state they receive my appeal and transfer it to they chief counsel office at federal plaza and incase to make inquiries I need to summit by mail

@Kimmy: Find out who are your senator, congressman/woman then go to their website and find their release form for uscis inquiry. Sign, scan and email release form to them.
