the good news is that they open new office and hiring new officers on all centers to focus clean the backlog and reduce the processing times !

@dim when it comes to f4 it’s not about backlog it’s about priority. if you from a country like Nigeria for example that immigrate a lot to the USA it’s gonna take like 10 to 15 yrs for a visa to be available to you base on ur priority level

I know but if u see the last statement the director said that the will reduce the processing times to all type petitions and all types visa categories ,

the director has no power over federal law, federal law makes it clear that visa has to be available for someone to immigrate. and a certain amount or limited amount of it is available for f4 categories

I filed for my brother in India in 2013. Just got the I-130 approval 6 months ago. Now another 7-10 years of wait for him to arrive here.
