I-130 Approved today!! USC filing for a parent through consular processing.
Here’s my timeline: PD (Case received): 12/04/2020 Receipt Notice: 12/11/2020 Case actively reviewing: 1/19/2021 Case actively reviewing again: 4/8/2021 Case approved: 4/9/2021 I was honestly starting to lose hope because USCIS was so confusing. I thought my case was in Nebraska, but I called them and they said it was in Vermont. The processing times there were 28-36 months. But I decided to upload more documents on my online account and the next day they started reviewing it.

Thank you! So initially when I submitted the petition, I just submitted what they asked for: my passport, birth certificate, and parent’s marriage certificate. But on 4/7 I uploaded my mom’s birth certificate, her passport, dad’s death certificate (mom is widowed, but basically upload a marriage termination document), and her country ID/license (I don’t think this is necessary, but I just uploaded it).
