you need to book the appointment to American consul or embassy to have the new stamp on your passport before entering back to USA

I also asked the lawyers and they said my current vusa will be valid as it’s an extension. i believe I just need I-797 form.

if you visa stands till 2023 why ave you extended the L1B? when it happens to me I had to show the strap aligned to the 797 form at port of entrance ….

it’s kinf of complicated, the blanket visa expired and they did an individual petition for extension.

is you I94 valid? unfortunately mine had expired and I also got approval for an L1 extension, however, after I got the approval notice it said I would need to go to an embassy as my I94 had been expired for 8 months. They would not extend in country even though I had been authorised unde EAD.

my i-94 expired back in May when my visa expired, an extension was filed before it expired. This gave me 240 days work authorisation. the i-94 record typically permits you in the US for a year and resets when you exit and re-enter the US. I’d be surprised if I jave to go to the embassy with a valid visa stamp javing a May 2023 expiry. the only annoying thing is potentially needing to show tue i-797 approval notice whoch I’m probably gping to need to show when re-entering the US.

Yes, you will need the hard copies. unfortunately they approve my L1 but did not take into account I could not fly home to extend my appointment - flights and appointment cancelled.

i’m planning to have my I-797 mailed over to me, since I’d need it for re-entry.. it’s actually pretty ridiculous that US immigration still needs a paper form to prove what they should already know, all records must be in a computer database, unless I’m mistaken.
