how long should I wait to get married after getting my free card???
hello!! I been living with my domestic partner for almost 8 year we have 2 babies, I just received my green card but I woul like to know how long I have to wait to get married with him and be able to apply for his green card? from being married with me ?? thankyou!!

did you get your green card through filing? if yes then you can do his I-130 the process would be consular so he would have afto get a waiver and go back to his country to finish the process or just wait until you become a citizen which would be quicker and better

you can get married now, and let the marriage continue to age when you eventually become a citizen, then file for him he will get a 10 yrs green card provided by the time you will be interviewed/approved your marriage is over two years old...just based on a personal friends experience im not a lawyer
