How long does it take after Biometrics to get my work permit???

I had my biometrics a week ago and my case hasn’t changed… :(I’m in Massachusetts and I really need my work permit, so I can start helping out my husband. I talked to a live agent, and It seems like my case still ant NBC. Does it have to be sent to a field office??? #massachusetts

the 765s don’t go to a field office in my experience. mine was approved a few hours after biometrics, but it depends on a few factors for this to happen. If you didn’t get immediately approved (check documents) it could take 3-6 months. sometimes more or sometimes less. I think the quick ones are when you had a prior visa or when your country of citizenship has instant background checks with the US (for example, mine is Canada which is quick). good luck :)
