right now it's taking weeks for the card to be mailed and delivered. if you don't receive the card in a month. call USCIS and inquire about the card being mailed.
as far as the SSN is concerned, if you or your attorney checked the box next to SSN in the EAD application when applying for it, then it will come along with the SSN, if no, then you would need to go nearby SS administration office and apply.

mine was sent November 21 received on @omg omg November 29 but since my attorney office was close she gave it to me Dec 1 and was no SSN and she did apply for it
