hi everyone, recently I renewed my passport and waiting for my pd to be current. do i have to update new passport number on ds260?. old passport is not expired yet. pls help

no, I don’t think so. In the case you were to travel now before submitting i485 you would travel with both passports. the expired one that has the visa and the valid one.

@Carla S DS-260 means this person is not inside the USA. so no I-485 they are doing consular processing but the answer is still no because the DS-260 is locked after submission. so just take the new passport to the interview the officer will update it.
