USCIS will respond to a congressman within 30 days. It’s takes less days to get a response from USCIS after you expeditious case. so what do you think?

ok thanks man.. I appreciate your response… my i485 last updated was 422. days ago my i130 was approved 417 days ago. response to RFE 270 days ago. so I contacted the congressman and I am still waiting for him to reply me.

@ Hoa Do, I don’t know what he can do but people do says contact Congress can be of help must expecialy if case is rediculosely delayed for know reason like mine. because I don’t have criminal records both here and my home country.

I contacted my Congress rep, they can not expedite your case, they can ask about what is going on with your case and if they are making a decision soon or need something from that. order than that, nothing. They can choose to say they no answer now or reply. but are not going to expedite your case. in my situation that simply reply that they are still working on it and can't make a decision yet. @love lovelife, thanks so much for your insight about this whole process. … the waiting in my case is too ridiculous. my response to requests for additional evidence make 423 days today. i130 approval today makes 422 days today. it’s really frustrated so I contacted the congressman since people said that works … but I haven’t got anything from the congressman, so my intention is to request expedite in coming week and by the time I make my request the congressman, would have contacted Uscis in that way maybe things can move little bit faster…

. When a congress personnel contact the USCIS, they’ll respond stating whatever is happening. either your case is within the normal processing time or not. This will make you know what’s going on with your case. In most cases, Expedeting it makes it moves faster. Before you take this step, make sure you have relevant reasons and necessary evidence to support just it incase they ask you for it. All the best.

@ J sam, thanks for your wonderful response… the last time I called Uscis the officer said my case was with supervisor review… too days later I received letter that said my case is “ Extended supervisor review… this was a month ago. now i felt I can expedite since the case it almost 2 and half years.. as regards reasons, I don’t have any reason except the following. 1 my mother passed I couldn’t attended her burial I think this falls under humanitarian. 2 my family is sick because I don’t have money to take of him, he requested that at least I should be there when he is passed and during his burial this will fall under financial and humanitarian… my question to you now is that, do you think this will be good reason enough for the to approve the expedite?

my condolences . yes, these reasons are enough. But try gather any evidence to support them since they’ve been dragging your case. it’s likely they’ll ask for it. The faster you respond to it the better your chances of getting approved.

writ of mandamus. no reason. they were saying security checks. many people from N have same ish. i think they just use it to watch if you would tire and withdraw the case or see if the case is real. i mean the wait game

I know about it… yes your friend may get that done through mandamus because 4 year is a long one for court to force Uscis to take a decision.. my case is too young for mandamus brother.

@ Mikky O I totally agreed with you my brother…. for my own case my wife can’t tired because the love is out of this world nah God found her for me trust me my brother… the only reason why I want to expedite is because I just need the green card to start some program.
