GREEN CARD INTERVIEW APPROVED 💚
Just got out of my consular interview for EB2 NIW in Rio.
Here's my timeline (didn't use PP).
PD: March 6, 2023
Approval: July 13, 2023
Returned to home country: July 26, 2023
DQ: October 29, 2023
Visa bulletin current: July 2024
Interview email:November 24, 2024
Interview date: January 6, 2025
My interview was scheduled for 7:20am and it took me the total of an hour. First they check your documents and then you speak with the consul. He asked me two questions:
1. Do you prefer the east coast or west coast? (It was a joke because I went to school in Oregon and then got my masters in New York)
2. What do you plan to do in US? And then I briefly stated my professional plan.
THAT WAS IT!!! I was so nervous and anxious.
Documents they asked: passport, original birth certificate and copy, police certificate (federal and state), proof of the medical examination.
Pls comment your questions and I'll try to answer them!
Wishing you all the best of luck

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Why NVC and not AOS since you went to school in the US?
Just being curious

@T A Maybe the individual went home because wasn't about to maintain status until the I-485 or maybe for personal reasons.

congratulations 👏, Do you recommend Consular process or wait for 485 ? what do you have to wait for consular process ?
Alyssa Keys13 de ene de 2025
congratulations. I think consular processing is faster than in-country processing
