thanks all. I filed September 20th 2020. notification for interview in May 2021. interview June. No fingerprints were taken. they applied the same. went to interview today. The officer said approved even if it might still need review.

That’s awesome! Took you 9 to 10 months for the full process! for the fingerprints, where were the ones used coming from?

I just wonder I’ve been in the country for years and took multiple times fingerprints and photos for my visas

Nicolas, when I applied in 2017 for adjustment of status/ green card they took my finger prints. they used the same in 2020

oh! so you applied in 2017 or 2020? that’s good they reapplied the same fingerprints three years later

R Bedi, the letter they sent me was weird. it didn’t mention that I should come with my partner. seriously. I didn’t want to pay a lawyer for no reason. so I went alone as indicated in the letter. guess what? they said there’s an error in the letter that I should come with my partner. they extended the interview time. we were both there. I submitted all the eviduwhen applying. we have a child that’s strong evidence but without a child all other evidence is good. the interview was 5 minutes. asked when/where u met/ just regular questions. it’s possible they can separate too

@Marcel Libre, @R Bedi how do you know they used the previous fingerprints? Is it a status you see online or you called them?

they sent notice for that updation . fingerprints taken from previous ( 2 years GC ) one

Nicolas, i applied in 2017 for adjustment of status. I was approved for conditional green card. it expired in 2020. but when I applied to removed conditions they used the same fingerprints of 2017. I was never called in for another fingerprints sessions

yes with the thread of comments I figured it was for your 10 year card. I’m at the first step…. AOS for the 2 year card

R Bedi, do you have an interview date? it should be a very easy process. my interview was 5 minutes. They asked about how I got here, took my expired card. asked for my baby’s birth certificate. ask some basic but structured questions

my status just changed too. to New card is being produced

Youyou, no. I read the requirements well and took time to prepare the documents. am happy I made no mistakes.

1. taxes, 2. lease 3. birth certificate 4. joint statements/credit card or car payments . I didn’t submit joint account statement but it’s good 5. travel tickets 6. pictures/ family friends 7. 3 affidavit
