as long as you are telling the truth and not lie about the reason the officer are all very understanding we can totally have the joint account but our financial situation is completely separated from each other which is really common now and the officer did not even question our answer

If you don’t have a SSN you can apply for an ITIN which will allow you to file taxes together and also you don’t need a SSN to open a bank account
