We got told at the end of the interview that it would be approved. Status changed to New Card being Produced the same day as interview and to Approved the next day.

when lawfully shows interview it means when he was ready to schedule for an interview guys. I guess he was ready to be scheduled in July and then had interview in December

Sarah is correct. Lawfully “interview” typically means when the status changed to “ready to be scheduled” NOT the actual interview date. I manually changed my timeline to reflect the interview date.
