GC decisions lately during the govt shutdown?
Hi everyone, does anyone know if green card (GC) decisions are still being made during the government shutdown? I have a pending marriage-based GC case and wondering if this will delay approvals.

@Maggie 6 gov shut down will not affect green card application. green Card applications are self funded.

@shenni law thanks Shenni, Is it possible that my Global Entry background check is still pending because CBP is waiting for clearance or police verification from my home country (India)? Could that be one of the reasons for the delay in processing my application?

@Maggie 6 not necessarily a lot of people is waiting long, I am also waiting long with a u.s citizen spouse petitioner I think as they ( USCIS) always say some service center have an overwhelming amount of files and we just have to wait until they reach our file.. am waiting 2 years and 8 months without any movement on my case I call USCIS every month about my case.
