@ marc Louis im very sorry about it. Ask your lawyer to fill the Advance Parole now and Expedite the case with the reason of your dad is in the hospital in a very bad condition, I saw a case like this and they got approved in 10 days since they applied.

@Marc louis Agreed. You can file for emergency advance parole to see your father. Also, your attorney is wrong about not being able to travel in VAWA case. There are so many attorneys who are not experienced and knowledgeable in VAWA cases. (My attorney mislead me, too. That's how I know) Make your own research about VAWA. You can receive free consultancy from attorneys who are experienced in VAWA. Have you filed your I-485 concurrently with I-360?

@marc Great, you might want to make sure you filed for I-765 (Category 9, NOT Category 31. Because C9 enables you to receive your work permit in seven or 8 months, before your VAWA is approved. C31 is given when your VAWA is approved which is minimum 26 months)

@marc So I-765 (C9), I-131, I-485 and I-360 should have been submitted for your best interest.

@marc excellent! If you already received your EAD, there is nothing to worry in that area. Category 31 and category 9 are I-765 categories. If you already received your EAD, yours is probaby C9.
