Frustration
my wife's case was approved but they are saying that I did not mention if this is a consular processing or not. my wife is still in my country. I been waiting forever just for this and this is what I got! ridiculous. they want me to file I-824. can anybody help me please. I'm really frustrated 😠.

you probably mentioned on the application that she will be applying for a visa in her country and also that she will be filling status adjustment in the US. You should have just check consular filing only. now you have to file I-824 for them to send the case to the consular in her country.

California, but in the approval it says Vermont. That the thing that I don't understand.

I think its a trend with CA center. I got the same approval notice. I was confused but the good thing is I kept a copy of the I-130 application I submitted. And the reverse was the. As a matter of fact, I specified the particular consulate local my beneficiary will apply for immigrant visa and adjustment of status. its purely USCIS ERROR. check page 8 section 62a of your I-130 application if you have a copy.
Consult you congress person and then follow up with ombudsman

it was almost 3 years.

but what is the approval date? because USCIS should forward your within 90 days from approval

so apparently my case was reopened today, became actively reviewing today and was just approved again. This time my notice States that my Approved petition has been sent to NVC. Apparently the error has been corrected. This is courtesy of ombudsman effort for case assistance. Just wanted to share this here for whoever it can help. This is a confirmation of my post on this tread on May 30th
