For school you need a current prima facie or an approved vawa. Otherwise its the traditional documents like green card etc.

how do you get your prima facie. do you need to ask your lawyer. do you get it automatically. if I need to go back to school can I give it to my school.

@Chikala Chako Stanyoko no prob. @kendivva j you get it automatically from USCIS if they determine that you qualify under the vawa category. You can use a current prima facie for school or an approved vawa. In this climate there is a lot of confusion though so even though you're entitled to it, your school may give you push back but that's what you would need to present to the school as an eligible non-citizen
