@black blazer No, we did not file 485J nor asked for. anyways my job & role are still the same as when it was filed. i am not too sure about 485J. is it needed before approval?

@Cricket Smile got it. for my case J supplement was also filed initially and I also got an RFE from FO to resubmit the J supplement again in April. job /employer is still the same as the original filing. not changed. no movement since then. not sure if it's needed but I'm seeing cases getting approved without it - like yours !! so it's possible that it's not needed. 😁

@black blazer so after approval, what is relevance of 485J?

@Cricket Smile congratulations. was I-485J case ever generated and added to your portal.? I had submitted my I-485J along with Initial I-485 submmition. but I-485J was generated only after case was transferred to FO in June .

@lk s not sure about this question? who generates 485J case? also, now if it is approved, at what time it will be generated? will it ?

if I485 is already approved then it's not applicable. I-485J was generated for me after case is transferred to FO. may be they just scanned the I-485J form from original package and created a case. either NBC or FO can create a 485j case while processing 485. just wanted to know if it was ever generated and added to your portal.

@Cricket Smile - your case is already approved so 485J doesn't matter. @lk s - thank you for the details. helpful to understand. my 485J case is not generated/seen in the portal yet. 485 pending since Dec 2024.

@Cricket Smile @black blazer - my I-485 receipt notice has priority date copied from receipt date(Dec-2024) instead of priority date(Jun-2020) from approved I-140. initially when I checked with attorney, he said not to worry. has anyone faced this issue? should we raise a service request for typographical error?

@lk s You should log a service ticket. My 131 and 765 had priority date = received date, but my I485 had the correct one.

@Cricket Smile congratulations to you and family. Just a quick question, have you changed Your employer since you filled your cash initially. I am looking for options to change job while waiting for eb1c approval. PD- March 2022.
