No I haven’t sent in medicals yet. I was waiting for the approval of the i140 then I send in the medicals ASAP.

@pete yes! sending the medicals before they ask for it will be the best for getting your case boosted, we didn't send medicals so our case got delayed due they had to send the rfe so i would say sending it is the best choise, also if you look at USCIS Twitter they said they appreciate cases that send 485 with medicals because it saves them time. So if you have a lawyer you can talk to him too and send it as soon as you get your 140 approved!

I sent in i1485 in December 2020 while i140 was in July 2020

yes! because medicals are expensive (we had to pay $500 each) so Its a safe move to wait until your 140 gets approved, once it is the 485 would just need biometrics and medicals, and i guess you already did biometrics? so you would be skipping a long step in the timeline

Yes, they are expensive that’s why I choose to wait. I’ve done biometrics already with EAD and AP in hand too. Is there anything you think I can do to get a response soon? I’ve had 3 expedite request denied in the last month.

@pete if you already sent expedite request and it was denied unfortunately there is nothing much to do than waiting, they are slower but if your case is good it will definitely be approved no matter the office, it's just that there takes a bit more time. But you are almost at the end of the way because after your 140 is approved, having done biometrics and sending medicals it will be a lot faster!! keep us posted!!

@MDC gracias!! si después de las huellas se actualizo a fingerprints received, pero he leído que en algunos casos no lo actualizan en el sistema aunque internamente siguen normal con el proceso. por ejemplo a nosotros nos enviaron rfe para medicals y nos dimos cuenta porque nos llegó la carta, pero nunca lo pusieron en el sistema como rfe sent, y cuando lo recibieron tampoco actualizaron a rfe received sino que hoy se actualizo directamente como new card is being produced, así que sI ya hiciste biométricos y aún no se actualiza no te preocupes, parece que pasa todo el tiempo

@ska yes!! they are approving faster than ever! when they send me the rfe letter for medicals they said that we needed to send it before September 30 because it's the end of the fiscal year, it means they are given a quota for GC and many of them were going to be lost if not adjudicated before the end of the fiscal year (they would have an extension to November) so they are working faster to approve as many as they can. It's on USCIS Twitter so you can check that out! if you already send medicals i hope you get approved very soon!!
