Hi mimi! I just left at a random time from my place. It was around 11 am when I arrived and got my biometrics taken. I went last Monday and I was planned on the 08/19 @1:00pm

If you don’t trust even google then how do you think people got the answers that you expect them to give you? like no one works for the fbi here. lol

If I was reading correctly, the FBI background check based on fingerprints can be as fast as 24 hours. But FBI name check takes several weeks or even longer.

I already googled it and it looks like the same generic answer the immigration gives when they don’t want to be bothered. The biometrics itself is probably super fast. I want to know if people experienced or had a better idea on how long that part of the process takes.

ok yeah…. it’s the same for everyone, for my case I’m here on a Canadian visa… they wouldn’t allow me to be here if I had a criminal past…. they check when I crossed the border…. so it’s kinda a necessary but unnecessary step :/

yea same for people who came here on b1/b2 visa. We wouldn’t get the visa or even be able to enter if we had any criminal past. So maybe this one is the extensive version of background check. don’t know.

Base on past information, FBI background checks involves administrative and criminal searches. In most cases, the results are back with 5-10 days. All depends on the individual I think.

they don’t give you any kind of notification for background check completion.

Nicolas can you share what reason did you say with getting your biometrics early in AZ? I hope I can do it too.

I showed up, took my notice but never checked the date, stamped it. I waited a bit and they called my number…. that was it!
