my case, when did you submit the expedite request. did they email you that it was approved?

@ove, My congressman sent the request on 1/11…. 5 days after USCIS sent him an email explaining that they got the request and will work on it ASAP. 2 days after I got an alert through lawfully that my case was approved.

@omotee, I googled and check his contact information and sent him an email. I explained my situation and he followed up with me

ugh, I hope it helped that my congressman sent an expedite request as well. They sent it either last Friday or last Monday I think so hopefully I hear something soon.

I called yesterday to just hear if the did anything and they told me they filed a request. Does that mean an expedite request? Anything else he (or I) could do, besides picking up the phone and calling USCIS?

I did provide our timeline and documents to all of it including the urgency about loosing my job (new mom on maternity leave about to be promoted) in three weeks. Of course I don’t know what they wrote to USCIS they just told me on the phone they put in a request :/

I want to contact my congressman too but I don't know what to tell them exactly.

congratulation! is your case employment base? my case is September too and I am still waiting. did you expedite first and then contact the congressmen? because I called USCIS and they told me my case is not out of processing time so I can not expedite.

@wk, I had a letter of my job stating that they will have to let me go if I couldn’t provide at least a ssn or a work permit. my own statement to explain how the situation would affect me financially. my credit cards bills and medical bills. that’s all I’ve sent

@Er Ka, thank you 😊 my case is family base, Aos married a US citizen. yes I did expedite first through Emma with a life agent. the next day they sent me an email with a fax number to sent evidence. I only sent the letter of my job , which was not enough proof so 2 days after the request was denied. I contacted the congressman through email the same day explaining my situation. he responded the next day and asked me to send all proof I could gather. so once I’ve sent him all I had, he puts in the request and exactly 7 days after I was approved

thanks for that! when you say credit card bills you mean just the statement? or screenshot of the bill amount? I work for Google so they are mentioning that the project I'm on will suffer big time and the company idk of that will work out

My case have you worked before even though you did not had the work authorization? I have my SSN but it says I can not work without work authorization. Thankyou

@WK, yes the statements of your credit cards including the balance you own the bank. and yes, financial loss to the company is okay. Put in writing how it will affects you as well

@Er Ka, yes I’ve worked without ssn for 7 years but the employer accepted me cause I was paying taxes with my ITIN. But now the business got another owner so they insisted that I get a ssn / work permit in order to continue with them. but they also stated that the company would suffer financial losses if they will have to let me go
