Javier, Yes I submitted my I-485 last month, but my I-140 was filed in October (non-concurrent filling).

congratulations! someone could explain to me what does mean non-concurrent filling? I will appreciate it!

concurrent is when you submit all forms at once for example I-140, I-131. I-765 & I-485 non-concurrent when you do each form individually

concurrent is when you send the i485 whilst the i140 is still pending. it doesn’t have to be at the same time, just before it’s appprved. Elizabeth, yours is still classed as concurrent

does concurrent filing slow approval of I -140?

Mine was non-concurrent. I submitted my I-140 form alone and wait for the decision. Also, I have heard that concurrent filing is slower than non-concurrent but I don’t have any serious source of information to support that!

@elizabeth apologies if I misread, I thought you said you applied i485 last month, whilst the i140 was still pending. I applied i485 1 week before my i140 was approved and that was classed as concurrent
