it means that the desision is near. and if you don’t live in Chicago, your case will be desided without interview, so congrats!

@Moe cc : could you share the details on when I-485 was filed. I am in similar boat so was trying to understand, I am a May 2025 filer, on Sep 03rd 2025 case was moved from NBC to Chicago Field office (non-local).

@MK SP I filed my I-485 in February 2024. The case was transferred from Texas Service Center to NBC in May 2025, and then to the Chicago Field Office in June. In November, the status was updated to “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview,” but I still have not received the interview notice with the date. Do you have any information about the questions or when they will send the notice?

@Moe cc : I don’t have information about the questions but there are some posts on Reddit about people posting questions of interview. some said I-485 based questions mostly Yes\No types, some were questioned about their marriage etc… I was told my live agent that my interview is waived but I know it can change anytime. fingers crossed..

@MK SP they told me your interview waived and after Two weeks I saw the update for schedule interview
