@S R K I did biometrics last week. it’s not been applied on the form. They asked for I-485 biometrics not for I-765 and I-131.

@S R K ir was about passport photos. even though I had sent it, they had lost them. so I resubmitted it and after 3 days they approved.

@cloud 8 got you! yeah now a days I see lot of these kind of rfe even though we submit it. like Passport Photos, Birth Certs, medicals.

@S R K yeah it feels like they’re doing to get some more time to make decisions.

@cloud 8 Congrats! I hope I 485 should be done very soon. if not before Sep 30th. usually 4th quarter they approve lot more GC’s for EMP Based then first 3 quarters!

@cloud 8 Can you share if the RFE’s for 765 and 131 came before Biometrics or after Biometrics given?

@S R K the RFE came before biometrics. to give context I didn’t recieve biometrics or RFE until I put in a request to expedite and ask my congress representative to inquire. after my congress rep inquired they issued RFE for both documents and also biometrics for I-485. if your EAD are taking longer than 3 months then I would ask you to request to expedite. they asked for no evenidence for expediting mine. they just needed photos and once submitted they approved in 3 days. I wish I had done earlier.

@cloud 8 Good to know. My biometrics scheduled on July 23rd. still not received biometrics notice. I got to know this info from Emma chat. my case status still shows Case Received.

@S R K I edited my response to add more details. please read again. My biometrics was scheduled on 17 July but I walked into the USCIS office that was supposed to do it and got it done earlier on 2 July. they pause review of your I-485 until biometrics done so I will recommend try walking in.

@S R K once you recieve your notice in the mail, which you should this week or next. then trying to do a walk in at the biometric office. if you tell them you need to travel or have work that day, they’ll let you do it earlier.

@cloud 8 After giving the biometrics, how many days it took to update case status online to something like “Biometrics applied”? Also I received biometric notice only for 485. what about 765 and 131 biometric notice? will they just apply 485 ones to 765 and 131? please share your thoughts.

@S K mine still hasn’t updated and doesn’t show the biometrics done. I talked to Emma to confirm they have my biometrics. if it’s only I-485 then they might use that for I-765 & I-131. it could be that they don’t need your biometrics for those.

@S K I agree! I’ve already thought of hundred ways they could make things more simple. I was living in UK prior on work visa and their system is so straightforward. there’s too much unnecessary bureaucracy. I never understood why we need a I-765 and I-131 if we have an approved EB1. they could just remove those steps & allow us if ppl have approved EB1😅
