EAD finally approved after expedition
After months of anxious waiting, finally received the good news today that my EAD is being produced and that I can start working again!! I’ve submitted two expedition requests via Emma to no avail; eventually, the senator’s office was able to get through to USCIS on the basis of financial loss (submitted a copy of job offer). Much gratitude.

@zain you can go to the websites of your local congressman or the two senators of the state of Illinois. they facilite communications between residents and federal agencies like USCIS. the one who helped me was Senator Durbin’s office

@pat: after the senator’s office told me that USCIS would review my case, it took one day for them to get back to me asking for evidence, and one day to review. it all happened quite fast as soon as the senator’s office got through to them
