it typically takes 3-5 business days for status change to usps pick up your card

Kathy, sorry just saw your previous messages, I’m awaiting for my GC, I got my SSN back in March, when I received EAD I went to the SSN office to get it

@ ca thanks much. When you went to ssn office, what was their requirements and how long did it take?

I called them a week after I received my EAD, they confirmed that the SSN was established for me on a day that my EAD got approved, they said they sent it to me and I told them that I didn’t received it. then they made an appointment for me the next day (I was lucky I guess that they had a spot next day, I heard some people wait for 2 weeks for their appointment). so I went and after one week I received it in mail box.

also when I went for an appointment, I asked for a printout of my SSN and they gave it to me right away (so I knew my SSN before getting an actual card)
