🎉EAD approved, April filer!🎉
My fellow immigrants, I uploaded a version of this post last week but this one is my complete timeline from filing to reception.
April 2, 2021: USCIS received my case
September 21, 2021: case being actively reviewed by USCIS
November 9, 2021: EAD approved. Card being produced.
November 12, 2021: card was produced
November 12, 2021: I-797 approval received
November 15, 2021: card was picked up by USPS
November 17, 2021: EAD (form I-766) received/delivered.
Center: Nebraska
Receipt number: IOE-09-112-63xxx
Category: C8, renewal.
It cost peace of mind, frustration, depression, anxiety, but this page is now turned and my mind can get its peace back. 😂
No biometrics was taken. So, don't stress if you haven't received biometrics appointment. USCIS don't always send them. Plus, in some cases, they reuse old/previous ones.
Keep the faith. The waiting period is mental torture, but this too shall pass.

Great !! In my case… Could they take my biometrics at the Miami airport port of entry? 6 months have passed and I have not yet received notification for that appointment. adjustment of status Here :(

Ezy - fact! 😂 the hostage situation is over. 🤣
Jo - your biometrics are with the FBI. that's were they're all sent wherever they're taken from, whether USCIS or any port of entry. so, if USCIS doesn't send you an appointment for the biometrics, they sure ask for the FBI for your latest background check as the FBI is the agency that performs that activity on all of us. I've asked for an EAD and got one so many times between 2011 and now, and USCIS only took my biometrics once, in 2019. so, don't stress if you never get an appointment for the biometrics. they don't ask for that every time. but, they turn to the FBI every single time to decide our cases. 🙂 if you've sent all the documents they need to approve your case, then, you're good.

Eric - yes. one week short of 7.5 months! 😅
Mimi - thank you! 🤗 as my post shows, it took from Nov 9 to Nov 17, from approval to my mail. in general, count 5 to 10 days to receive the card, when they decide to work. 😂

thanks for sharing this good news. how did your case get sent to NBC? I live in SoCal and it’s in Potomax. It’s tough to stay positive these days.

A K - you're very welcome! 🙂 my case was never in NBC (national benefits center), but NSC (Nebraska service center). I'm currently in NC.
