there’s really not much you can do, just gotta wait till the receipt comes in the mail, that’s why we’re being advised to file for a renewal 180 days before current EAD expiration so as to avoid being out of a job because you’re yet to get your receipts which serve as a 540 day automatic extension. things have been slow lately, so receipts take about 4-6 months to get… good luck

I’m in the same boat but my attorney told me I didn’t have to submit it too early so we did 3 months before expiration date. my ead expires next month, I don’t want to lose my job. Do you think info pass can help… I don’t want to stress but if I lose my job I lose everything..

I would call to USCIS customer service to get if your application is showing in the system

I had to behind my lawyer to send my renewal. they sent it 1 month before mine expired and I did receive any receipt notice. I call my lawyer every week and they say that it’s normal to wait up to 12 months because the are backlogged. I call USCIS myself and I was fortunate to get a find officer and he told me that my application was received and a receipt was mailed out but I nor the lawyer got it. I have requested a new receipt and he did give me my receipt number. I’m still waiting for it.

my vawa is pending since April 4th 2022

I called them, and they informed me that they don't have access to my renewal application. They also mentioned that they cannot access VAWA cases, so I'm feeling uncertain. I have to trust God and my lawyer, but it's stressful because my ead status expires next month, and I don't want to lose my job.
