when the PD is current, there is a visa available for you. but, when you get it is up to USCIS to push the button and process. still waiting for June 2022 PD which has been current since July

it means there is a visa available for you however, cases are process in the order they are received. Right now they are working June and July 2022 cases. So although you're current now, you've still got another year or two to wait.

I thought this only help people who is at NVC stage? how does this help if you’re not yet approved?
