I just got approved after an RFE and an interview

@yass z lease affidavit from my spouse bank account statement auto insurance tax return health insurance 401K benificiary I don’t have any affidavits from friends or my spouse family

I didn’t have any affidavits from my wife’s family either only from her. did you guys attend therapy or travel together?

interview was fine tbh, interviewer was a lil weird and off topic but i got approved at the end.

@yass z we have photos and memory together but not a lots of travel tickets and booking. what documents you’ve submitted????

affidavit from ex wife, photos, couple therapy letter from therapist, bills from therapist, leases, taxes, w2s, flights and hotel reservations, auto insurance, health insurance, renters insurance, leases, some gifts, I was listed on some of her loan stuff, texts I had with her mom… and some other marginal stuff

@yass z what was your timeline??? so we filled our I-751 jointly in September and I think this week I am gonna get my final decree. did you have the same case or you filled as waiver ?

filed jointly feb 2025, got an RFE August 2025, filed for divorce and got it wrapped in less than 2 months replied to RFE and got interview December 2025. card produced the next day.

@yass z what was the RFE about?? when did you tell USCIS about your separation and divorce?? thanks

@Shee ja RFE was for more evidence, I replied with more evidence and asked them to update it to a divorce waiver case

I am in your same situation. I submitted my i751 in November 2023 and I'm still waiting. divorce waiver, photos, leases, insurance, couples therapy. still waiting..800 days so far and no response

I hope so! it has been 3.5 years that I havent gone home. I don't feel comfortable traveling with the i797

@Shee ja I prefer not to say but my country is not on that list.

@yass z okay no worries. also did you have any lawyer or did you do everything by yourself?

@Shee ja the joint filing we did it on our own but after I received the RFE decided to get a lawyer cause my case got complicated

@yass z do you think getting a lawyer is useful?? right now I am doing everything by myself

@Shee ja yes absolutely, it’s money well spent. grand scheme of things even if it’s 4k for a lawyer you’re getting a green card and peace of mind to live in this country, the process definitely got more complicated with this administration and they’re just looking for small mistakes to deny your case. Personally, I did it cause one peace of mind that everything getting filed properly, two it’s too much paperwork that I did not want to deal with and three they prepped me for my interview (what to say, what definitely not to say)

Yass z,how long after your interview you got approved? Did the officer approved your case right at the end of the interview? I also want to know if someone can be asked an Rfe after an interview

@yass z I am sending my final package to USCIS Cover letter including all my details requesting the waiver (not notarized) copy of I-751 Receipt Notice lease affidavit from my spouse and me bank account statement auto insurance tax return health insurance 401K benificiary photos what do you think?? also how many total pages you’ve sent? I promise this is the last question hahaha

hi @Shee ja how did u request for 401k beneficiary? reason i asked is because my husband(USC) added me as beneficiary on his 401k and he said on the letter he received there is no name listed. it just says beneficiary. i’d like to know how to request for a letter or proof that shows my name aa beneficiary.

I got approved 1 day after interview no officer didn’t say I got approved on the spot she seemed actually kind of skeptical regardless of the mountain of evidence I had

@Shee ja sorry just saw your message that looks good but I would add utilities and insurance and phone records for every single month hope all is well I’m sure you’ll be fine approval rate is very high for i751s
