divorce
Good morning everyone, please I need advice.
In 2021, they denied my green card because of my divorce in Nigeria, after that I refile the divorce here in America in 2022. In 2023 I remarried. My wife now file for me in 2023. Now we went to interview last week and the officer kept bringing up my divorce from Nigeria even after I redid it here. Please what’s your advice because we haven’t hear from them. Also the interview was scheduled under my wife 130 not 485. Please advise me

Try not to worry about it. Just get ready for a stokes interview & a posible home visit. Be prepared to answer questions about your 1st & 2nd marriage in America and be prepared to provide as much evidence as possible for both marriages. Also, be prepared in case they bring up the Nigeria divorce issue again. Most importantly get an attorney that is familiar with this type of situation to prepare you & your spouse and the attorney should also attend the interview with you guys.
You could also get lucky to get your green card without a second interview. I wish you good luck.

once you have been denied in the past because of Nigeria divorce be ready to file lawsuit on your next case to get a decision. even after interview they still will not say anything.
