From Google: DS5535 processing can take between 2 weeks to 8+ months. It's a black hole due to the security checks that are sent to various US agencies to verify your profile. Until a positive response is received from each agency, the US embassy will not issue you the visa.

can you please tell why they gave a 221g? and what questions

@summer 123 the officer said i wish i can give you the visa today but we need to complete the security check .. she said we will send few questions in the email and its the exact same questions on the ds5535 im guessing because my husband was born in the middle east but he has a citizenahip from Austria !

Hi. has your husband receiving his visa yet? Did the embassy take his passport already? My husband was also placed on AP at the interview. 1 week later we took the missing documents in and at the time they also took his passport. it’s now been 2 weeks.
