I saw the approval notice on my online account but the app is not updated yet

I heard another guy got a 5 year as well. good news but also makes me wonder if they expect green card timelines to be that long? 😭

my letter says 5 years as well and i saw a lawyer on social media speaking about the new change to 5 years. I guess it has to do with them still being backed up so just incase we don’t get the green card quickly we could still work.

@hope waiting as of October 1 2023 work permit is now 5 years it is not for 2 years anymore.

I received my work permit September 11 2023 i also apply my social security card with work permit.but I didn’t received yet my social security card anybody help me please?

@deep singh go to your Social security office to apply for social if there’s a application already pending they’ll give u the number until I receive by mail
