Congratulations! USCIS send your case to NVC and they arrange the interview at the US Embassy in the beneficiary’s country.

What I’ve read is that it can take a few month, depending on which country you’re in. Apparently you’re supposed to hear something from NVC within 2 weeks, though!

Also, Kevin, was 28 Dec the date you received acknowledgement from USCIS, or was it your ‘actively processing from’ date?

the actively processing date was January 4th

i submitted December 7, received confirmation December 28

Great, thanks for the info! just trying to compare ours, as we received receipt of the case 12 Dec 2020, and actively processing date is 5 Jan 2021. Hope ours is not too far off!

Yep! Comparing like-for-like…. we actually filed ours in Oct and didn’t receive an acknowledgment for two months!
