I applied for my husband a little over a year ago. we attended our interview on September 14th in Long Island,NY (Barrets avenue) and were approved on spot. but we waited more than a month for them to produce the card. This whole process was a long wait but patience is key …This app was very useful and insightful. I can answer questions if you have any.

@Mohamed, he initially had a B2 visa but then applied for asylum. so his Asylum had been pending for a while. the officer that interviewed us was very strict but polite. He never asked me anything. He only spoke to my Husband and asked him about the reasons why he applied for asylum. we brought a whole binder of proof but he never even looked at it or asked for it. we were done within 20 minutes.

congratulations! I had my interview today in Long Island office, too. Got approved 3hours later. I was stressed, but got lucky the agent was nice and welcoming. the interview went easy. then I learned that I was overthinking things😄
