Case Status Mismatch
has anyone ever seen a case like this?
My pd is 02/2022. Im an the principal application eb3. My i-485 case was filled on 01/2023. My spouse is a derivative applicant under my petition and her I-485 was filled on 04/2026. Recently my spouse I-485 application was approved on July 25th and the card was produced on July 29th. However my primary i-485 case status is still in “Case remains Pending”. As i know, a derivative applicant’s I-485 can’t be approved unless the principal applicant’s petition is also approved. I was trying to contact USCIS or chat with emma but there was no response. My case is in the San Fernando Valley Field Office now.

Congratulations. Yours is already approved too! It’s just not reflected on the front end. Is your case IOE? You can track API to see the status on your case.

@pd 2022 I agree with @Sylvester Tanning , your case has likely been approved. Your spouse’s case is dependent on your case so without you being approved it does not make sense for them to approve your spouse. IOE cases follow a different workflow and are automated. I mean lot of the things are automated and done by the software for the IOE case. For physical case like yours, an officer must go through all the details and vet it, then manually update the information on the software which is why your approval seems to be delayed. Don’t think there is a reason to be worried! Good luck
