my i485 through vawa been pending since February 2024, submitted rfe and medical back in November 2024, biometrics in June 2025. waiting, waiting waiting.

@Roumanatou Mossi We have the same situation. My VAWA was approved in March 2024. I haven’t received any RFE, medical request, or interview—nothing at all. At least you received an RFE. I’m still waiting with no updates. Which office is handling your I-485? Mine is in Boston.

@USCIS Official. We have an almost identical situation. my vawa was approved in January. I responded to the medical rfe in march and still nothing. hopefully we’ll get approved soon.

It seems Hartford field office is one of the slowest...endless waiting. My vawa approved last May of 2024, medicals submitted September 2024, my son's biometrics in Dec 2024 and nothing yet!! Not only that, but got notification that mail was returned. Called several times and no one can locate that mail because none was sent. Got email that interview was scheduled for April 15, 2025...called again with lawyer and no such interview was scheduled. It's just one nonsense after another.

@pater sHow long have you been waiting since your VAWA was approved? For me, it’s been 19 months with no RFE or interview. I contacted the senator again, and she reached out, and my lawyer also sent a letter to USCIS, but I still haven’t received any response. I’m feeling very sad and frustrated. I even had to apply for another work permit, which cost me $600.

@pater s To be honest, I don’t even know where my case is. The senator sent the inquiry to Boston, Massachusetts, but my lawyer sent the letter to Vermont. How about you? When was your VAWA approved? Mine was in March 2024.

@pater s you should of applied for c09 if your i485 is pending that c31 is based on i360 if that’s pending c09 is faster

still pending she’s just waiting for her interview. for our application, they put it as interview waved and then they waived it and we’re just waiting for an interview
