Just wanted to share my timeline with y’all..
May 5- interview was ready to be scheduled
May 19- combo card
July 14- interview scheduled
August 19 - interview
Marriage based (USC)
They interviewed me without my husband. they apparently didn’t need him so he waited in the waiting area
- asked me yes/no questions ( the criminal section)
- medical report
- our child’s Birth certificate
- husband’s birthdate and where he was born
- he asked if my parents info was correct
- asked if I ever stayed more than 6 months
- when was the last time I entered the USA
- my address.
- who stays with me
- why did I marry my husband ( I said he is smart & handsome lol)
- two passport pictures of husband.
and I was approved on the spot.
officer said he didn’t need to see my husband and my testimony was sufficient.
all the best to you all. I know it’s a tough and exhausting jouney, but just keep the faith
my combo card arrived May 19th
i submitted my I-130 separately September 2019 and that got approved July 2020

@CLM why did you file an I-130 first? was he an LPR before July 2020?

I wasn’t fully aware I could do Both at the same time. I thought I had to wait for one to be approved and then I could do the next one. no he is a citizen by birth. I think that’s maybe the reason my meeting went super easy was because I had an approved I-130 already.. Dallas field office ( so efficient)
