Can I get my SSN day-to-day if I have an EAD card
I have an EAD card, can my local SSA issue me Social Security Number when I visit their day-to-day? Or it should take some time, shouldn't it?

You have to called for an appointment and then once you have that, you will go with your EAD and the will order a SSN which will comes within 2 weeks...

how long did it take from when your status updated to card being produced to when it was delivered to you?

on 16 November card was produced
on 17 was picked up by USPS
on 18 delivered

When I got my SSN (in 2007), I went to an office and I received the card in the mail almost a month after, I don’t know if it takes a similar time nowadays
