My asylum-based I-485 status changed today to ‘Case Is Ready to Be Scheduled for an Interview.’ Has anyone had this status recently? How long did it take to receive the interview date? Is there any chance USCIS can still waive the interview after this status??

I filed my I-485 on January 13, 2025. My case was transferred to the Santa Ana Field Office in August 2025. USCIS reviewed my case in January 2026, and there were further case activities on May 6 and May 13, 2026. I filed a WOM in July 2026, and today, August 18, 2026, USCIS scheduled my interview

@mhnnn m it’s depend on field office they can waive the interview or schedule early depend on them but they didn’t schedule mine yet
