That's wild! see I'm confused, I'm yet to file and I'll be filling my I-765, I-130, and 485 and read that I have to send it to the Chicago Dropbox location. and I stay in Texas.

My whole packet was sent to NBC in Missouri, I FILED IN APRIL , and got my EAD in November . Case is ready to be scheduled for interview since November, hopefully I receive good news soon . I don’t understand if my case will be interviewed based on NBC Or Dallas Tx .

I guess everybody’s case is handled different .

@aseret right it’s crazy but at the same time DFW has such a high population and only one office so that’s why it’s so slow. they should add some more offices. I wonder how many people they can interview in a day - maybe 200-300, yet there is a high immigrant population. people with student visas, employment visas etc..

Yes , you are right the DFW area has a high population . I agree with you they should make one in Fort Worth . I have no idea how many people are interviewed , it all depends on the USCIS officers working I guess , I just hope we receive good news soon . Other people receive their interview 2,3 days after . 😔

right I’ve seen that they get interviews after a few days or a week and basically their whole case is processed within 6 months of sending it - it’s so weird how there is no consistency. One thing is that we sent the I-130 in July 2020 in Canada then decided to aos in feb 2021 - so my pd is July 2020 and wedding was a few months before that. I am thinking that they might be holding on scheduling the interview for me since in a few months will be my 2 year wedding anniversary and as a result I would get a 10 year green card and not a conditional gc - where I will have to file some other forms etc. So maybe cases that are good they just delay them to get 10 years. is that the case for you too?

My husband is the one waiting on his interview . He came to the USA with a work visa , he married me in 2018 but I applied for his adjustment of status until 2021 so he could receive his 10 year green card . I filed April 1,2021 , it seems like it’s going pretty fast , but I have not received any updates on his case . I feel like it’s more like a lottery , a friend of mine filed adjustment of status for her husband , she is a resident and she received his green card in 4 months , she also resides within the area.

I really think its just processing times & the fact that covid hit .

hh , my lawyer suggested to call every place in the area before heading out . I think it’s a good advice , give them each a call and see which is your better option …. also have you been vaccinated ? if not you are not able to do medical exam …

my timeline is similar to @h h. PD Feb 19 bio done Sep 17 case ready to be scheduled Sep 24 interview scheduled status change Dec 9 waiting to find when it’s actually scheduled. case is processed in NBC - MO but I moved to Dallas in August. thinking interview is scheduled in Dallas FO. 🤞🏼

My case has been awaiting to be scheduled for an interview for just over 4 months now . My case was received 06/23/2021 , on 06/26/2021 the status changed to previous biomatics used for case and the last update was 08/07/2021 to ready to schedule interview. Things moved super fast at the beginning ,Just hoping i get the interview scheduled soon.

@aseret I went to school in Canada (elementary, middle, high school) I am sure I have most of my vaccines but I can’t find the papers so I am going to be redoing the vaccines and I am looking for a place that will do the exam, blood work and vaccines for a good price the cheapest price I found for all this was $420 - it’s listed on this website easyime.com - not sure if it’s a legit website but I am going to book an appointment soon

or maybe there are better areas to do the vaccine for cheaper and then do an exam at a physicians office

@hh i found one in Fort Worth for much cheaper ! I don’t know if you want their info it’s on USCIS website., that’s where I found that doctor . They take copies of vaccination from other countries .

@aseret hmm does the price also include vaccinations? because I need to get all vaccines again in the U.S. so on that website it’s showing $420 for all vaccines, blood work and physical exam. I wonder if the one in Fort Worth does it even cheaper than $420 including vaccines.

Finished interview an hour ago in Dallas - just came home and saw case was approved (new card being produced) status 🥳🥳 interviewer was very friendly and interview lasted 10 mins

it was very easy and lasted a short while - we had a casual conversion and just the yes/no questions on i485 - that’s it (my i130 was approved so maybe that’s why it was even more easier) but I noticed officers in the Dallas office looked really friendly

I don’t think there is anything to be afraid of,I know that wen u know what u are doing you will be fine and for the dress…dress causal and nice there is nothing to it…..what will be will be not by appearance it is by the way you answer questions and present your case

@aseret just wear what you would wear for a job interview - some of the officers were wearing regular clothes that people wear daily. also everyone waiting for interview was wearing diff type of clothes. just look presentable. also don’t be nervous about anything your case is good - and officers in Dallas office were very friendly

@aseret congrats you will get approved soon maybe later tonight. no, I haven’t recieved the green card yet - it’s still on case is approved status, but I believe it will change to card was mailed later today and after that it will take a couple of days to receive it in mail. I did receive the approval letter today.

i had the interview at 11 so it’s been quite a while I heard only supervisors can approve cases so I’m hoping it gets approved later tonight

@aseret it will happen nothing to worry about. Some officers just review the files to ensure there is no doc missing then they approve and it takes a couple of weeks. I searched on Facebook and everyone gets diff approval date like later tonight, in a week or 2 weeks. also I just got update for card was mailed
