I think NBC is processing April/May now, except for some outliers like mine. I filed in July, my interview is next week.

I read somewhere that uscis is struggling to access some files because they are in offices that were closed due to COVID

you need to make sure your application isn’t outside of processing time. Check processing times on USCIS with your field office & category. If the date for case inquiry is AFTER may 2020, you need to submit a request.

@ Nick S you can actually check on USCIS website ,type processing time in search and scroll down aftwr tou select filed and form

it tells you which month they are processing ,but i am not sure if they showing for NBC

485 Filed in Oct 2020, no decision yet.

The date on the USCIS website doesn’t indicate which cases they’re processing, it’s only for people who haven’t had any movement in your case since the office has already moved on from that date. Usually they give a few months of space between date for case inquiries, & what they’re currently processing.
