🇯🇲🇯🇲 Did my interview yesterday, NYC, case approved 🎉🎉
I’ve been smiling so hard since last night when my status changed to “New card is being produced” My IO wasn’t really very friendly🥴 She asked my husband like 3 questions “what different personalities you and your wife have, how many kids we have and who cooks. Then she ask me the date I came to America (I told her the date on my I-94), if I’m working (I told her yes since I got my work permit) if I got to school (I said yes I just finished a nursing program) she said that’s good , Then she asked why do I need a sponsor and who is my sponsor, who pays the bills, then asked how much are our BILLS (I started stuttering because in my head I’m like am I supposed to calculate every bill and tell her) then she aggressively said 🗣”How much is your rent ma”am?!”🥴 I told her then she quickly went to the yes/no questions (it was a NO for everything) Then she asked me my plans for the future🥴 then told me to sign a paper and said everything looks fine she’s gonna check my medical to see if it’s good, and oh she jumped back to my husband and said “Sir where does your wife go to school?” he told her then she said “Ok expect something in the mail in the coming days” as we walked out her office she said “are you guys gonna hug?” Never said we got approved but I guess that was her saying it? The only thing I gave as joint was our leases from 2011 to 2021 and she asked for a picture of us together with no hats or nothing in the face. Now patiently waiting for my card in the mail😁😁😁

I am a USC applied for my spouse and we got approved last month , he is not in the US
I finished all the NVC. application and paid all the fees last month, when is he going to get his interview? it is going to be a month and nothing happened???

@jewerley good luck! is your appointment morning or afternoon? Just make sure you are on time! We didn’t drive we took the train was worried about finding parking.

@Sarah sorry I don’t know if the process is the same when not in the US, I waited a little over a year after they received my application to get my interview.

@Chris I only gave her our leases and yes we have kids together….we’ve been together a really long time so I guess that’s why she didn’t ask me for anything else, I even had this yrs tax return cause it was our 1st time filing joint and she didn’t even look at it, we have no joint bank accounts🥴 no insurance together🥴 just the apartment lease

@mr man I had my phone in my hand and the notification from this app popped up around 9pm….I was checking the Uscis website since I walked out the interview and up until 5pm it wasn’t updated…so I found out on the lawfully app.

One thing I love love love about this app is that it’s 🤔 precise, I have all of 5 cases and the app notifies me before my lawyer does. Trust me I love it.
Can I tell you that I am genuinely happy when I see people here getting approved and I get super excited when I see my fellow Jamaicans 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 getting approved😀, keep the faith guys one day we will all get our hearts desire😊
