I am happy for you. did you contact uscis or it happen automotically !? what was your I485 status show before RFE. is your case on local field ? mine showing “ reschedule appointment is recieved” I do if I need to contact them ! my lawyer said no is automatic sorry too many questions I just wanna know

@idk 🙂 🥱 I was told IF your spouse filled I-485 and then you put I-485 on hold after applying for VAWA, you have to notify USCIS. I didn't contact USCIS because my spouse never filed for me, so RFE for I-485 came automatically for me. My case is in NBC. If I were you, I would call USCIS and ask them do you need to notify them because I read that you have to notify them if your spouse ever filed for you

Files i-360 & i-485 concurrently May 2021. i-360 got approved on Feb 22, 2024, and still waiting for RFE on i-485. Already contemplating reaching out to my district congresswoman for help.

@Mrkvica M. idk why the lawyer say we just need to wait, where did you read that info so I can send it to her. also if I call them to notify them since she is taking care of my case I am sure they will let her know or something idk

I neve used it. and lawyer say better not to do it .i contact Emma this morning and they say “ your I485” is out of process time I can file an e request but my lawyer said nothing also they said if I didn’t file e request they still will process automatically and it is on NBC

@idk 🙂 🥱 I hate to say it, but your lawyer is not correct. Millions of people are using AP without any problem including myself. Apply for AP and visit your parents! Life is too short

@Mrkvica M. you are right! I didn’t see them for 4 years it is about 5 on December! I will ask her to apply for a new AP, which country you visits ?

@idk 🙂 🥱 i went to Europe. I haven't seen my family 8 years and last year was the first time I went back to my country and let me tell you, it was really hard to see them. They got really old. That's why U would recommend you to go and see your parents. They will not be here forever

1 year and 1 month since VAWA was approved and I already sent Medical exames in July. Decided to do writ of mandamus and I did. Today I just got the confirmation that all the defendents were served. Now I’m just praying for God to help because I’m really tired of all of this. Made it thru a lawyer.

@idk 🙂 🥱 It’s good to have a lawyer take care of your case but you can’t blindly believe whatever they tell you. You need to do your own research, even my lawyer said it’s waste of time to request an expedite we are still in normal processing time we just have to wait but I believed that I have a strong reason to expedite so I still reached out to my congressman and they submitted an expedite request later case got approved. You can call USCIS to check where is your case currently processing at? You don’t need to check with your attorney if you can call or not. I used to call USCIS every alternate day 😂 just to check if my case is still at NBC or moved to Local FO.

@March 2023 good point, she is a free lawyer dude. she is going with me to the interview two I got this pro bono help lawyer all my case I don’t wanna be so noisy, I will suggest to her to do an expedite but I need a good reason, what was your reason ?

@idk 🙂 🥱 it took 6 months for mine. but everyone is different. if I were you, I would apply for AP and see go and see my parents. Family is everything ♥️

@idk 🙂 🥱 I am not suggesting you to expedite cause I don’t know if you have a valid reason to expedite but you can at least call and check where is your case. My reason to expedite was my medical condition. @Mrkvica M. Agree with you.

@KR Chic vawa approved march 2023. Medical received by them in July 2023. I tried the senator in January 2024, they talked to Imigration, they gave a deadline and nothing changed.
