Tier 2 callback and email - transfering the service item
After requesting a Tier 2 callback because all 3 of my Expedite Requests have not been answered, the officer called me saying that she will inquire NBC directly about my case and a few minutes after I got this email:
“After careful review of your inquiry, we determined that your issue will be best addressed by the USCIS office processing your case; therefore, we are forwarding your inquiry to the National Benefits Center.”
Does anyone know what this means? Is this a positive thing or they are simply moving the response to another office? How long will they take to respond?
Thank you

IMO because I’ve dealt with tier 2 as well as received a similar email. I’m still waiting on a response to that same email (except callback from CSC) from June 3rd, when I was supposed to gotten some sort of definitive answer on my petition from someone at the CSC. pd June 17, 2021, with congressman contact and a recent expedite sent. I’m seeing several others getting approvals today for the same category so I hope to hear something soon so I can celebrate finally😞. This waiting will drive you insane but talking to others who are going thru the same $hit for no reason, helps you to cope. Wishing approvals for you and everybody else whose suffering living apart from their loved ones…

Not yet unfortunately. I learned that at times they use this to make specific requests to the service centers, but apparently they take time to respond if they respond. I don’t really know, with 3 unanswered expedites and now this I am not super hopeful on a quick response, but who knows. Trying to stay somehow positive

They said they would reply in 7 days? What was the reason for their request or for this email?
D CJun 15, 2022
And they said if they would call, email or just take action on the case?
D CJun 15, 2022
I have been trying to call, but I don’t think Tier 1 officers will know much. Will you request a Tier 2 callback if you don’t hear anything back?
D CJun 15, 2022
Yes, I totally relate to that. Hopefully this transfer leads to something positive and quick on the applications. I usually check in daily to see if there were any updates, but it seems like the NBC will reach out to us directly.

It is just challenging to stay hopeful/positive with the lack of consistent information from the USCIS and mainly the incredibly lengthy process time for anything. Expedites, Tier 2 callback, emails, etc.
D CJun 15, 2022
Do you think it makes any sense continuing calling Tier 1 and maybe Tier 2 just for updates? Because I feel like something may happen when I call, it rarely does but always wondering if they could help more?
D CJun 15, 2022
I will continue to try and ask to add notes! Thank you
D CJun 15, 2022
good luck to you as well and please keep this posted if you get updates regarding this email. I will do the same.
D CJun 17, 2022
Have you had any response? Or got any feedback after the email?
D CJun 17, 2022
I have had nothing, once again…

I’n my experience if they don’t answer the expedite it’s not approved. I got a letter once in the mail after asking for expedite that said specifically if they don’t answer in 30 days consider it a denial, they can’t answer them all etc.
But I do think they also push the case forward without notifying you of an expedite, just as a denial isn’t answered, an approval is not communicated. I’ve seen people not get answers on expedites and then their case is suddenly approved, way ahead of schedule. The whole system is a mess.

Again, that is very random. I have had officers saying that if it is kot answered within 30 days it expires, others that they only process the last one you submit, etc etc sometimes you said people here with responses in 2 days others in 2 months, just think it completely random. I am hoping that for documentation review they are maybe quicker we will see. Do you know if they review cases on Saturday?
D CJun 25, 2022
I thought NBC worked Saturdays

how many expedites did you request before it got approved? my husband needs to lessen working hours because of a health issue and I need to work for him to do that 😔

I submitted 4 expedite request before getting a request for evidence.
