Silent update yesterday 11/26
Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can let me know what their experience was with silent APIs for I-485.
So far, I've had 3 silent updates since my PD became current (EAD already approved months ago):
-09/03/25
-09/17/25
-11/26/25
Does anyone know what are the patterns close to final decisions? Does yesterday 's update mean anything?

Your case might have transferred. I had silent timestamp update on same day and emma have confirmed that case is transferred to Field office.

@5zz Mmd what do you ask Emma? I also got a silent update on 26th, tried asking Emma and got very generic response not relevant to my case at all. thank you!

Yep. Check if your case was transferred. A bunch of us got a Silent Update on Nov 26. I checked with Emma and my case was transferred to a Local FO correlating the time stamp.

if you use the EAD permit,
you will loose your F1 status.

@Kobbs G m3nny3. Since your F1 is still valid, once you use the EAD, you’re essentially giving up on it. it’s quite some risks. It’d make more sense for people who have no other choice.

@Green me please god i got a silent update 11/26/25 as you, but I sent the AOS just 2 weeks ago. I didn't even receive the biometric notice so I guess It's just a batch update and not related to decisions.

I think most people with RD in June/July had their case moved to field office with the batch update on 11/26. that's the general trend I noticed
