i am genuinely happy for people applied and approved in 2021. however I agree with you. we have been waiting since nov 2020 Texas and nothing happening 😞

they shoudl hire us, we know how to work long hours to get things done.

we are foreigners and they don’t care to much about us

I’m sorry ! this is very frustrating. I also feel left in the dark about simple things like “when will they fix the typo I requested 2 times” no updates nothing. but waiting since 20 is just so rough. did they say something is missing or anything? just hold on tight. it will be over at some point and then you can breathe free!

@ T M ‘if they have backlogs.. why don’t they work overtime’ because uscis is self funded and everytime they try to increase fees, people cry racism. There should be a system where you can pay 2-3 X fees for faster processing and the trade off is another 2 people get processed fast too. Is there even money for OT? highly doubt it. Next uscis gets millions of applications a year which I’m sure they are staffed for but look at the numbers at the southern border… 250k people a month claiming asylum who need to be vetted etc but there aren’t fees for asylum seekers so uscis is always playing catch-up. I know it’s hard but I don’t think you can blame uscis employees or the agency. They are at the mercy of the political party in power.

take our fee to support people who don’t have fee for balance. sound shameful mercy….

well because they are refugees or asylum seekers so they are in much worse situations than us

I get it, but should not it use the money from USA government, not us! we are foreigners as well?? taking foreign country people’s money and disguise like a good person…

I think all this scenario is on purpose… a lot of tools to enhance the process and they are doing nothing…

the usa government doesn’t have money growing on trees. Its funded by the American taxpayers who fund enough things globally IMO. I think the biggest issue is usa needs a merit based immigration system like Canada where points are required towards a PR card (green card) and you EARN your status via skill. I grew up in Canada and honestly the American system is very generous in comparison. Its not merit based, medical is easy, the bar for sponsorship is very low…like poverty line but mostly it’s politics screwing it’s up for us. My full green card was approved in 5 months under Trump now I’m waiting over 8 months just to remove conditions AND we have a child together, endless assets, everything is combined but they are so backed up they can’t even get to my application. I’m not mad at the government or uscis for the removal of conditions but all those fraud marriages that made life difficult for us today. Be hopeful, it will be ok

ok @ mp has a point. My husband has been saying this too. I know there is a labour crisis right now but they literally have robots running factories in China now so why would a country allow unskilled labour when we know automation is comming fast and furious? is that why all those work green cards went unused? They could have been issued but 180k went unused. in my partners field they had people reading medical reports getting paid 200k usd annually but now machines doing it better than his best employees as of 2 months ago. My target in NY has one cashier, rest self checkout. security and inventory check at my grocery store is a robot. Perhaps universal income is coming and they don’t need more mouths to feed. I think unless you are Einstein you won’t be able to immigrate to certain countries in about a decade, marriage green cards will be even stricter vetting. Already started with removal of conditions.
