RFIE for I-485 EB13
hi guys
yesterday my case was updated with RFIE being issued. Could that be because of the missing medical exams? confused about the difference between RFIE and RFE. thx

Yesterday I also received RFIE prior getting this status update notification, I received a text and an email from USCIS regarding I-639 (medical form), that if you receive any a request regarding this form then submit it ASAP. Though I have submitted my medical yet received this text and email. Let's wait for USCIS mail. As per my knowledge, RFIE is better than RFE.

RFIE is request for initial evidence right? I got one as well but haven’t got the mail yet

@Dalla, that is correct. I also haven't received my mail yet because the status updated last night on the website. hopefully we will get it by Next Tuesday. Did you also receive text/email from USCIS regarding form I-693 last evening? I've seen numerous people received same text and soon their status got updated from biometrics to RFIE.

what service center is you application with? mine is with Texas sc. it seems the TX sc has sent a flurry of RFIE yesterday. this makes me think they are all for medicals

Same, TEXAS SERVICE CENTER. I agree with you. But the question is that why I received this RFE when I submitted my medical along with my case? People haven't submitted their medical receive this text and RFE make sense, but why I received? 🤔

how long ago you submitted them? i believe they are valid only 1 year

surgeon signed on 12/24/2020. Case received by USCIS on 01/27/2021. RFE Date 07/30/2021.

postman delivered my other mails few minutes ago. USCIS sent RFE on 07/30, usually it takes 4 to 5 days for a regular mail to be delivered. I f not today, then probably tomorrow I will receive. I will keep you all posted.
